Fear of pain while at the dentist is common, and for some, it prevents them from seeking needed dental treatment. At Burleson Endodontics, there's no reason for you to worry or be apprehensive. If you are in pain, a root canal procedure will eliminate the pain you're suffering due to root infection.
Most often, patients who need root canals are in pain, and depending on the severity of the inflammation of the tooth's nerve, the pain may be debilitating.
Ignoring it may only worsen as the condition further aggravates the nerve. Coming into our office to treat the infection is the only way to stop the pain.
Our endodontist will administer local anesthesia before the procedure to numb the area and prevent you from feeling any pain. However, you may feel some pressure at times.
Infected Tooth Pain Relief
Endodontic procedures like a root canal alleviate pain caused by the infection in the root when the dentist removes the pulp of the tooth. Though you will feel some soreness and discomfort for a day or two after the procedure, a successful root canal should provide immediate relief from the pain of the infected root.
Dr. Fitzhugh looks forward to helping bring his patients the pain relief they need.
